Architecture of Pakistan

Here i have shared some Memorable places of my Country....//

Architecture of any country is the reflection of its civilization. In Pakistan, we also have some phenomenal buildings that have become the landmarks of the country.

1. Mohatta Palace
The combination of pink stone from Jodhpur and yellow stone from Gizri makes Mohatta Palace one of the most unique building of Karachi. Mohatta Palace is also one of the oldest buildings of the city. The aesthetic style of Indo-Pak revival architecture was built by Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta, a Rajithani businessman in 1927. After partition Quaid-e-Azam’s sister Fatima Jinnah moved here and in 1995 it was converted into a Museum by Government of Sindh.
2. Badshahi Mosque


The historical mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1673 in Lahore. It is the landmark of Lahore which attracts the tourist for its Mughal architecture.
3. Islamia College 
Islamia Collage the powerhouse of Muslim students during Pakistan Movement is located in Peshawar. This beautiful building of rich architecture and history was established by Nawab Sahabzada Abdul Qayyum and Sir George Roos Kepel in 1913. This building is also famous for its serene ambiance.
4. Pakistan Monument
The construction of Pakistan monument started in 2004 and it took three years to be completed.  This monument is a symbolic representation of four province of the country. The national monument is located in Shakarparian.  The structure comprises of four metals that are embellished with murals.

5. Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan is the most famous public monument of Pakistan located in Iqbal Park Lahore. The construction of Mine-e-Pakistan started in 1960 and took eight years to be completed. The Minar has a significant historical background as the Pakistan Resolution was passed at this place in 1940.The tower was designed by an architect from Dagestan Nasreen Murat Khan.
